First off I had the idea of creating an adventure map for a while. I just haven't had the time to do anything with it, but I do have many ideas for it. However, when Deep Space Turtle Chase came out that was the tipping point. This server has so many great Minecraft brains that we can outdo anything. I don't know if I am going out on a limb, but we could use a test server to create the map.

Tell me what you think and if any of the staff likes this I can going greater detail of my approach to how it would work on the server.

It was my understanding that the Dungeon Team didn't have anything to do.

A Herocraft-themed adventure map would be awesome. You would need to shuffle the geography around some, more than likely, but something stuffed full of lore, a game as supplementary material for a game (played within a game based on other games, no less)... Pretty sweet, man. I'm telling you, if Kainzo says he's on board with some of these suggestions recently I'll apply for Architect just to help out.

Wonder if we could map-ify somebody's fanfic...

We can copy paste zeal and use it as the main place and have puzzle areas in the 4 cardinal direction. I'm not going to say any more. If any of the staff wants to here more on my ideas for the adventure map you can PM me.

This sounds like an epic idea, maybe we could go as far enough as implementing Heroes and making an RPG map.

I want the map to have the ability to be played on the vanilla, but maybe we could add something so it could be played like that. Like copying the final project and adding many hacked spawners to the map and it can be played with Heroes but takes less to level and lower CDs.

I just had the idea that one of the directions could be purely hardcore parkour.

I mean to say that when we make new maps, server architects are "USUALLY" called in to help build the central spawn location (signs and portal areas etc.) Nothing mean or rude against you.

@gabizou No, I didn't take that in any bad way, I just had a dumb moment. Would I have a chance to be an architect even if I haven't build something incredible? I just never have the time to build my best ideas such as many of the concepts and challenges I would have for an adventure map.

You would if you asked them :p Most of the architects are ready to build whatever if they aren't already busy with their own projects.

if you dont have time to build something cool then you prolly dont have time to be an architect, you gotta have some time to spare incase a server project does come up.
