I've moved out of the game-dev field about a year ago. Working in Oil and Gas. I'm maintaining the Disposable Heroes community again. We have around 100 active players on Classic WoW.

I do get the itch from time to time to check into these things. Still paying $150 a month to maintain everything and it doesnt make that anymore.
Maybe a fresh take on Hytale will get me back into the scene.

This is so late but I'm saddened to hear about the state of the server. But as others have said, all good things must come to an end. This was one of my first big Minecraft servers and it created so many good memories! Thanks Kainzo!

Some of the best memories of my late teens are from HeroCraft. I feel so much nostalgia when I am reminded of those days. Thank you to everyone who made it such an amazing community, especially Kainzo. Love you all!

Just saw this thread when I was thinking about coming back. I didn't play long until I got busy with life but the time I did spend on herocraft I still remember to this day and I haven't played in over 4 years. Thanks for everything you guys and gals did to make the server an enjoyable time.

Wow, hard to imagine HC dying. It was so bustling when I last played in like 2012. Oh well, it was a fun couple of years.

Damn, lately I've been playing a lot of survival minecraft on a friends server (very low pop) and I think about HeroCraft all the time. This shit was the best server I have ever played on hands down. Made so many friends and memories playing this game, community love was real (Except the Tree Creepers ;) lol) Much love @Kainzo , I'm sure it was a fun ride for you too. If this ever gets another revive, hopefully I get the chance to see it! Unfortunately I missed the last one.

So sad :( Hope you're doing good man. Had some RL shit that took me away from a lot things for a couple of years. As was stated above, paying respects to a great server, times and definitely memories. Don't think I can do WoW though :p ...was always a EQ type of guy ;)
