Here's a present for all of you.

Bukkit is updating soon, and therefore so will Herocraft, to 1.0.0!


1) PVE:
Boss fights soon!
Will hopefully make for difficult battles that will take more than a few people.
Might be in a different (assumedly multiverse) world, due to chaos effect of dragon.

Make normal mobs harder?

Officially bringing back "the dungeon team." -- I don't know what this is, sorry.

Dungeons will do one of the following (hopefully)
grant exp
give coins
grant skill access - may have to axe a few current skills.

DUALITY is coming, and there will be NEW crafter specializations (professions) ie
Shepherd/Farmer
Enchanting (may be for casters)


2) PVP
More EXP granted, less lost on death (yay!)

COMBAT will be introduced to Heroes.
prevents use of XYZ skills -- again, don't know what XYZ is.
Logging during PVP means you automatically die.
"Combat setting for 10 seconds" when hit by another player (not mob).

Armor will have increased durability

Won't be able to attack from NOPVP region.


3) TOWNSHIPS - (Remember, this is a hardcore server, not hardcore PVP).
Any SKY to BEDROCK walls will become 'outlawed.'
the only purpose is this so that towns aren't ugly.


4) WORLDS
"The End" will be for boss fights

"Hell" (FINALLY!!!!!) will be for leveling

"Skylands" will be an event area (quest/lore)

"Main" is something we already know everything about.

More worlds isn't adding any lag

Warshard is back!


5) LORE
Stronghold and Alator are working on it, its going to be more interactive.

This is the story of herocraft, "sundering events etc." (WTH this mean?)

This will add a lot of Role-Playing.

Snow golem = pet! (how this is lore, don't ask me)


6) HOSTS
chaning hardware!
Down for a day or two
needs to be restocked/profiled, reshipped.

Old machine being used for now, but some features will be turned off.

Price for new host is doubled (Matt5327 recommends you donate more)

New hardware is 100Mbps

He wants to buy a new server machine, roughly $2,500?
10-15% faster
possibly a custom linux kernel for the cpu


7) FORUM/WEBSITE
It's being tweaked, in case you've been living elsewhere (Skyrim)
New badges
Sparkling names for donors
etc…. Talk to an admin if you don't have them!
There will be badges for Guides and Architects.
Shadrixniga is making the new badges

Convo limit is now 15, 30 for T6 groups.
might be upping it more.

Main website may be getting an upgrade
DH is getting new webiste, too!


8) MINECON
will be attending the next one
adverts
booth spots

Need a crew of 5 (other than founders) to attend
HC will purchase the tickets, but not the flights
Consists of HC and HC development (demos work)

Design team needs to draw up banners/posters/shirts
headed by xanipher/dairamu

New HC logo and font! (once it's ready)


9) DONORS
No new tiers

Name changes and "note time payment events" are still planned
but not now

Mobriding will probably go to beastmasters instead of donors…Sorry!
having a lot of coding difficulty, crashes often.

Riding Dragons! :D

We have 60 Tier 6s, fyi.


10) DynMap
only appear on map if you are in visible skylight.

Kain wants Sleaker to integrate some skills with DynMap



1.0.0 is massive, 80% of things have changed. Many things in Heroes redone.

Is there a planned location for the Next Minecon? I'm planning a roadtrip to that or Quakecon and would totaly pick some people up along the way if you could pay for tickets, and pitch in for gas/noms.

Wait, so enchanting will go to all professions? Now I see no reason why I shouldnt just switch to geomancer/anything but enchanter.
