The major seller here for me is the bow and arrow texture and combined animation when you pull an arrow back on the drawstring to shoot, along with the ender pearls, eyes of ender, and the swords

Few things that'd be nice if you updated from 16x16:

Podzol dirt.
Tall grass.
Azure bluet.
Rose bush.

Is anyone familiar with texture packs?
I tried updating the pack several times in the past to re-release it but I am no longer knowledgeable
about how to do it correctly, effectively.

directions to update for somebody with the knowledge:

take the good item textures(sword), water, fire animation, enchant animation, gui from this original pack and then take an updated version of faithful's 32x for the remaining blocks and 64x for remaining items and splice them into one. effectively updating Sam's Faithful Remix.

Anyone who chooses to do so will receive credit, and can edit it to be <their name's> faithful remix. I recommend taking the best of SFR and bringing it to 1.18.2. please include a small credit to my legacy.
