    My current mining area is basically right on the edge of the world limit, and the mobs there have roughly 2200 to 2500 hp, so 1500hp mobs are probably only about two thirds of the way from the spawn point at most.

    I was gonna go the triple wide monitor route, but then decided instead that I had to use a 42" TV as my monitor, since my desk also has to double as my home theater, and there'd be no room to put the TV above the monitors due to having a sloped ceiling over the desk. My humble little abode...
