    Yes, the button is the safest, though lever-only, no clock is the best, as it means least server lag. That's how I set up the midgard defenses back in the day.

    It's not a perfect system with the pressure plate, but it prevents it from just being left on permanently, as the item would -eventually- de-spawn.

    There's an easy, less laggy way to make a gattling gun. The manual way just includes hooking a barrage up to a lever and holding right click, though this means you can't move. If you MUST use a clock, never hook it direcly into the gattling gun. I'd suggest logical AND'ing it with another input...
