    Some people sell Redstone for 1c a stack, and its very easy to get. You can find redstone even by walking through someone else's mine looking for leftovers, and you must suck at mining very badly if you cant actually find any.

    A Wizard has 223 mana, which is 446 with Replenish. Enough to use 11 Megabolts (Wizard combat skill with highest mana cost) assuming your mana doesnt regen at all. Fireball + Icebolt + Pulse + Entangle + Port + Bolt + Fireblast + Blink + Megabolt + GroupTeleport + Shock uses 305 mana, so if you...

    I personally dont find lowering the Repair cost necessary at all. I find Smith the most useful profession especially for a player who plays alone/doesnt get others to help, and as John said, with tools it isnt possible to reduce the reagents needed.
