    My lack of motivation to actually play would most likely be the fact that by dying you simply lose everything. Chests don't spawn for me most of the time (I die mid-air) or I die while mining in lava. A better alternative would be losing souls instead of items on death, and if you've been killed...

    Why hasn't anyone suggested this yet?

    Adding on to that post if everyone started out as lost soul, and the only way to get a class was through looting chests for relics and codices, it'd be a bit more balanced class wise and luck based.
