On the topic of town defense...
The way I see it, the lack of mob spawns on the surface is the source of most of the problems present on HC. -

When the vault is underground, the anti xray gods turn the chests into stone blocks and then the gold disappears :( -
Battling map decay
More maps, including adventure maps that give exp and reward upon completion. Regular resetting of Warshard, resetting once every 1 or 2 months. Old quests being removed, and new ones being added. -
Bug Damage on 1-2 Block Falls
Experienced this bug on other 1.3 servers running bukkit so I'm guessing it's a bukkit issue.- GraRona
