Wierd symbols on desktop icons..

I don't know if this has to do with Windows 8 or what, but I start getting curious when symbols like this one with 2 people on it start appearing:

Restored my OS due to the disappearing tile bug with windows 8. 2 weeks later its back in the form of a grey X.
