I'm not sure if the Tree Creepers name is related to the actual Creeper mob, but I saw this and thought of them..

I think they chose that name cause creepers jump out at ya and rape you then quickly disappear :D

The name Tree Creeper was dmil's idea. When they went out and raided towns, they use to hide in trees and suprise citizens. They found a skin on the forums resembling the Treeper skin. Elite liked it and started making different masks for them.
