Bug Silverfish!!??

Ok so either I am EXTREMELY unlucky or there maybe a glitch in my area. I have found multiple Diamond ore veins and when I break them down using an iron Pickaxe they ALWAYS drop silverfish. I have yet to find a single diamond lol. Has this happened to anyone else?

This is normal, you are probably mining in an extreme hills biome or are near to a dungeon. If you are using the normal texture pack (Not the server's but the real version of it) silverfish egg blocks look like diamonds, so always try to punch diamonds before mining them. I thought the same when I first saw this on Sanctuary until I found out that silverfish eggs now spawn in extreme hills biomes.

You're right I am in extreme hills. Thank you. I thought I just had crappy luck

would explain why ive found several while mining. got swarmed lol
