According to the in game menu and the wiki an outpost is an independent base for trade and military operations, and can be upgraded to a military base.
What i do not understand is how an outpost can act as a base for trade when there is no ability to build any soul collectors/factories/shops. Atleast that is the case according to the wiki and in game menu's i see.... i have not tried in game so im hoping that someone has tried and can explain how exactly it works. If not then i suppose i'll be giving it a shot to see how it works.
OR by trade does it mean a safe place away from towns where 2 parties can meet in a block protected place to exchange goods? If that is the case then its pretty pointless since that is what the trade district is for...
