Bug Kicking cows seems to be invalid damage?

When i used my 67 damage kick on a cow 2 times it didn't die however when i hit it with my 120 damage diamond sword it died in 1 hit how would this work?

Are you sure your sword does exactly 120 dmg?
Remember that that the wiki can be wrong, so test whit spout

The sword does do 120hp damage. The diamond one
