How does one start Herocraft?

So the other day I was thinking hmmm I haven't been on this server in an extremely long time, it may give me something to do on minecraft, so I got on the server and saw that the only portal I could go to was survival, like a complete noob I sort of speed ran through the tutorial and now I have no idea how to start a quest, that is if there are any quests in survival, I also have no idea how to navigate through the help commands, can someone please give me some advice? xD.
