I know I've asked this more than three times in off-chat and even when some of the staff team and other players also wanted to know, the question has been ignored. So, I'm assuming this is the best place to ask / suggest it.
In Wasteland on the previous wipe, when you hit trees with an axe and chopped a log, it would also chop the rest of the tree above it, except for some trees like Dark Oak. Why did that function go away, and can we have it back?
Pros:
1. It would be helpful to new players and players of every profession.
2. A moderator would not be needed to chop down hundreds of trees some player decided to chop only the base of.
3. A griefer in the wilds couldn't just leave the tree tops.
4. To fix griefs a player would only have to replant, instead of chop down the rest of a tree.
5. People liked it.
