So we saw the newer numbers getting thrown around and I know paladins current armor is like 80-85% but what are the rest of percentages looking like?

If there is a list or if anyone compiled data on it I would appreciate it greatly if someone can share it.

As far as i know currently vanilla minecraft armor gives 4% additively stacking mitigation per half tick of armor. Since paladin has 8.5 ticks (or 17 half ticks) that would be 68% mitigation. While at the bottom end (full leather) gives 3.5 ticks (or 7 half ticks) which would be 28% mitigation.

I guess they are trying to lower the overall mitigation of all classes to make left click / physical attacks a greater component of combat. But what exact goals are or numbers should end up i have no idea.

The most important component should really be making sure protection armor never exists on sever (IMO) since that really does a number on left click damage once stacked with existing mitigation.
