Bug "Cannot send chat message"

I was playing and chatting fine, but I randomly could niether send chat messages in any chat, nor /tell people anything. I don't believe I have been muted as I did not abuse chat. Does anyone know a fix for this

Sounds very client-side related OR you turned off the multiplayer chat feature in vanilla.
