Do you think Democratic Socialism will ever work in the US?

What do you think Obama should do with the Syria situation, go in or standby and observe?

I am firmly against the idea of democratic socialism ever working in the US. For starters, we don't have a homogeneous society like many of the countries under the Nordic model. There are an incredible variety of groups of people in the population with varied needs that socialism cannot cater do. Secondly, I believe in general Americans place freedom as an ideal much higher than equality of outcome on the "liberty-equality" paradigm. Many favor equality of opportunity in opposed to outcome. Many European countries have been shown to favor the equality of outcome aspect in past years, which is something I believe many Americans will never accept fully.

Who were the first members to create LO and why did they name it LO?
Do you like Pizza?
If I remember correctly KryKraft (@Leo2596 ) first thought of "the Legion of" Oblivion. Back when we were making the capital city of Oblivion in DG. Farroes named the capital though.
It was originally going to be named Burger Kingdom :p .

I love pizza. Mushroom and sausage are my favorites.

Do you know any jokes that make you laugh every time you hear them, even if you're not sure why?

Care to share one?
My friends and I always joke around with this one to the point where it's become comedic in itself..

Two polar bears are sitting in a bath tub. One polar bear says "can you please pass the soap". The other polar bear says "no soap, radio!".

Gets me every time.

Favorite subject in school?
Where did "Spider Help!" originally come from?
I like humanities in general. Probably going to major in international relations or poli sci in college.

"Spider Help!" came from a spider attacking me in the graveyard outside Solitude in DG while I was armorless in teamspeak.

Sounds interesting.

What's your opinion on Israel's doubtful legititimity as a country?
I think the country of Israel is 100% legitimate. Moreover it is a bastion of Western influence in the Middle East. It might not be doing anything to soothe the situation over there, but I believe the Jews have a right to be there.

Still, they are foreigners taking the power and controlling the economy in a country they are not welcome in. The repression of the native palestinians and ocean wide differences in living standards makes Israel sound like Apartheid-South Africa to me.
