Bug Wizards Hoe damage

In the new map you are supposed to do more damage with your hoe every level. I am a level 40 wizard and I do just as much damage as I did as a level 1.

Are you sure that it's not your spells that are supposed to become more potent?
I only ask because I'm not sure. :p
