I'm checking out HC because I am pretty bored with the Minecraft game experience in general. As a coder, hacking on the Minecraft server/client and writing plugins is what is keeping me interested in this game. HC seems to be out in front pushing the envelope in terms of what is possible to do with Minecraft, hence my interest. In particular, I am a huge MMO fan and I think the sandbox nature of MC is a great foundation for an open ended sand box MMO, and it seems like HC has had the same idea.
Instead of applying straightaway for a coding/staff position, I would like to check out HC firsthand and get look at what the server and community are like. Don't accept me because I'm a master architect, in fact I have a pretty lousy imagination when it comes to building in-game. Rather, accept me because I'm genuinely interested in what HC is doing with MC, potentially want to contribute technically, and am a great roleplayer (many years of MUD, MMO, pen+paper experience).
