Bug Villagers Despawning?

Leo2596 and I were sitting in a room, breeding villagers. There was about 15 of them. We got bored, so we decided to do a duel. We dueled eachother, and the second we got out of the duel, 13 of them were gone. There was still two of them left, and they started breeding. After there was about 7 of them, we dueled again, and none despawned. Why is this happening?

We at Umbra have noticed this happen 4 times already. We have tried placing them in different rooms, but that did not seem to work at all.

i know every thing about vanilla villagers breeding, but atm my breeding spot is not breeding..and i gues no breed spot in the nexst 64 blocks. is there still a bug in HC for villagers.. or do i need to buy the eggs.
pls answer this question so i can teach arround

Villagers do breed. I have an extensive system in Braavos, and I know Paragon does too, and many other towns.

We also have villagers breed in Oak with no problem. The villagers we spawned with eggs did, however despawn.

Are you sure that they were left behind ? I mean , nobody was around them for a long time they just go sad and suicided D: . Just kidding , maybe they got to far from any player for too much , and just despawned OR they have just been killed by a zombie :/ . You should put a golem with them so they have protection and also make sure the place is bright enough .
