Turn off rain. Get less lag.

Not sure if it is just me, but Rain lags me. Hard. Maybe turning it off would help the lag issue, it seems like rain just makes the game unplayable. Does this happen to anyone else/ would turning off rain help?

We've done tests - rain doesn't add any significant performance drops. If you are lagging because of rain - its more than likely CLIENT side

I think that's just your own computer having a hard time. Although rain does get a bit annoying after a while it probably doesn't cause lag.

is it okay if i use a mod (optifine) to turn rain and certain other animations off so my computer performs better?
