Bug Tracking in Warshard

When players on Citadel track players on Warshards, they get the message that they can't track them, but the effort still consumes a compass.

Is there a way to stop the compass being consumed, please?

It's not as if players can check by using /glist because this lists players on both Warshard and Citadel as being on the same server.
