Since the previous suggestion thread was 100%(ish?) positive, we'll be moving along with the actual design of the thing. The following is a list of all the towns and structures I have thought of. If you have suggestions or other regions you'd like to see, then let's hear it! Also @Kainzo might want to make a subforum for the individual balance of money, items, etc. that these regions will deal with.

This is part 1 of my region suggestion list. This part contains all of the core regions and towns:

Name - Description
Type: Structure|Town, Size: ?x?, Power: Daily / Max
Requires: Blocks|Structures, Town level
Protections (things the region protects against): BlockBreak* (so long as the town has power, money, and structures), TNT (tnt reduces power), PvP, MobSpawn

Shelter - Personal protection region outside of town. This could be upgraded to a larger region for money and items.

Here is the section of regions relating to PvP. Anything with an * next to the name can only be implemented if Player Location checks can be used. These checks are more server intensive.

Soul Cannon - A TNT cannon that reduces the power of a town when it fires. This works so long as the cannon is in range, and it doesn't matter if the tnt actually hits the town. The more times it fires, the faster it will fire. Soul cannons can only be built on the surface.

Soul Harvester - Consumes items and money to create power hourly.

1. Everything can be destroyed by TNT. Towns are protected against TNT but each explosion reduces their power. When the town hits 0 power it's TNT protection goes away.
2. No, the general consensus was that players should build them. We didn't want cookie-cutter towns.
3. Those sizes are the max sizes. Shelters could be upgraded to use more size if that's something you would want. I added that suggestion to the list. We could have a way to get bigger regions for small groups so long as it doesn't perpetuate problems with the current Township system.

My concern is the new town sizes, I assume that means the old ones need to be carried over?

Those are just estimate numbers. The balance team will set those later. We aren't sure yet how we'll be implementing this new Township system, but the current Townships will not lose any protections, status, or features.

This is part 1 of my region suggestion list. This part contains all of the core regions and towns:

Wondering what the PvP protection is. Is it complete protection from pvp? How would it work?
Yes, but it can be destroyed with enough TNT. For the best PvP I found that having interesting terrain features really enhances the experience. I'm not just talking about typical terrain like hills, buildings, walls or your house. I'm talking about hospitals, shrines, turrets, boosters, and safe zones in a completely destructible environment. Repeated spawn killing does not make for good PvP anyway.
