I threw this up here for people to comment and say if they are also having problems connecting or if they have a quick fix for a poor lost soul. Upon clicking log in, it takes a few minutes to load up, then goes to loading terrain, finishing the chain with a Timed out. Any kind of help would be very much appreciated!

Just a guess; try to disabling server textures. The texture pack is butt anyway.
