It was a very good idea to move recall and mark into heroes to get rid of an unnecessary plugin that previously handled those two spells, but the way the way they now work is both good and bad at the same time.

The good:
Recall and mark now run off of heroes as spells
Recall now has a cool down. Not sure if it did before actually, but I know it does this time

Suggestion quick by the way, is that the warm up for recall is brought back so people can't get out of combat quickly with it and need to find a safe place first. I hate people that can just steal stuff and recall out instantly even if they were caught.

The Bad:
Mark needs to be re cast every time you login

Now this was a very cool idea, making the server harder and that people need to set up bases when they go places more and such, but I don't think it should be there, or at least changed somehow, not sure how exactly.

The reason it is bad, is because I can't raid or mine now really. For mining, I could just set up a base underground while mining and walk back later, facing the dangers of pvpers and mobs, but for raiding, it is really annoying for some people. I crash sometimes, and now I will not be able to easily get to back to the base like the rest of the group when we finish raiding. Sometimes my family needs help with things and I need to log off in a hurry. Because of things happening that are out of the servers control this function is made infuriating instead of making the game harder.

You can say just walk back, deal with it, but that is not fair simply because my computer might not be as good or I have to deal with my family sometimes. Will you be happy when you are doing something with all of your friends and you happen to crash, and now you have to walk back while everyone else gets to teleport back easily and safely?

I was going to say maybe make it reset after so many log outs instead of one, but I know some people that crash really often and then it would still be unfair to them.

It was a cool idea, but I think that recall should simply have the 10 - 20 second warm up it used to have and maybe a reagent increase to make recalling cost a bit. If you want to make it more inconvenient to use recall, rather than 10 easy redstone to use, change it to 20 redstone and an iron ingot every use or something. It's not much but it will be more annoying.

Thoughts? Opinions? Ideas? Alternatives?

I like the mana cost added, I like the longer cooldown for recall. I don't like that it needs to be reset. As you said if you crash/log it's then gone. Personally I use recall to get myself out of a mine when i've gotten myself horribly lost. Now if I crash/log and come back I've been forced to dig my way out.

The best thing would be to make it keep it's location. If needs be, make it so that the location is saved until you recall there. So you can log die and crash all you like, recall back to the location and then it needs to be marked again. That would also means you could add a mark with higher cost (when regants are needed) for one's you can recall to multiple times before they are lost.
