So, although I love my new Beastmaster class, I can't help but regret missing out one some of the benefits I would have gotten if I had not switched out of caster. I was thinking that maybe some other members of the community would have similar regrets.
So lets hear them! I'll start.
So when Heroes and the Zeal map had started up, I was a caster. This was back in the day when a stone block gave you 1 exp each. Those were some good times. I got all the way to level 25 and got fed up with dying in any and all PVP instnaces. Fireball+stone sword wasn't good enough. Either my enemy was a warrior with way more health than I, or a rogue who can 3 hit me for the kill.
I wanted so badly to become a master Necromancer and just live in the Nether and maybe never come back but realistically just spend alot of time in the Nether like I did in Sanctum world (I could stay there for days).
I just got so tired of dying. I was mayor of Shin Kyoto so I had to be able to fight back when attacked, I can't rely on my PVPers to be online when we needed them. So I went rogue. I instantly fell in love with the iron sword. Everything was 10x easier for me to do and /sneak was great!
Now, Casters have more skills and HP implementation has made them more effective. The beginning just wasn't an easy time for them. If I had just started HC now and went caster, I could have done it
So for now, I stick with BM and will try to master it. Hopefully before we move on to a new map I will have gotten Necro or if the next wipe (whenever that is) also resets EXP, I will gladly stick with Caster to the end!
What's your regrets?
