So I want to run for Architect here on HC, but I haven't done any really big projects before. Mostly just smallish towers and stuff. So I want to make something impressive I can show off and I'd like to see what other people can suggest! I'll come up with something myself eventually, of course, but if you have an idea or two I'd be happy to hear it.

I think you should do a pair of guardian statues, representing the Academy. Holler at me if you need a hand, even great architects need clearing-monkeys now and again . :D

Well, space is imited on Herocraft and if it's really massive I'd rather do it in CSP. But I'd be happy to make some statues for the Academy, maybe at that Zeal South square we have listed undr projects. When that happens I'll be glad for the help.

Well I can do decent designs, but what Kainzo picked me up for was Redstone ( I was sorta well known in the official minecraft forum for the summer in answering redstone questions and showing off big projects).

If you can do something that will impress Kainzo, then you are a step ahead in convincing him that you are valuable to the architect team. Look back at some of the previous architect applications, each of us are unique and have a style that we are comfortable with. Beside towers, a lot of the team have their own ideas rather then base it on something already made in real life or on the web like dragons seems to be popular, create something stunning and appealing to the masses.

I don't have any ideas on a build for you since I deal with redstone mainly, look around for inspiration and learn off that. Similar to your situation, I learned off by watching others and once I learn each circuit's function I can easily combine them together to perform functions and tasks like I do in programming. A puzzle where each piece can fit in different patterns but I have a nack in making the build small and perform the function faster/better then most other designs.

Architect may not be for everyone, just saying "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder".

I think this is cool since I built it but not everyone will agree.

Okay, I've been musing all day long, and I think I've got some good candidates.

1. A Red Wing airship from FFIV
2. Concept for Auryn, a city I wanted to start in-game but have yet to get around to. Think Venice-type canals for roads, and a big Arche de Triomphe-inspired town hall. Deciding whether I should upscale it or not.
3. A city in the style of the North Pole from Avatar: the Last Airbender. Large snow forts and cool stuff like that.

If there's something really awesome you'd like to see go ahead and reply, but unless something catches my attention this is what I'll be working on.

I say build a red wing airship. But you will need a palaidn/dreadknight, dragoon, Cleric, ninja, monk, caster and healer, Wizard, necromancer, engineer. (cough go play ff4 if you don't get it)

You want to overcome your inner darkness? 500c please.

Red Wing it is. I was already working on it and it looks fine, but I think the scale is too small. Need to come up with a rough estimate as to their size...
