Technic Launcher Problems

After reading a bit about the special Modpack that Herocraft offers, I decided to download the Technic launcher and give it a go. I can log in just fine, but it never actually loads completely. The window just goes white, and then quits out of the application.

Any ideas?

By the way, I'm using a Mac, and I have the latest operating system installed. Not sure if that helps.

Same with me, using a Samsung laptop running on Windows 8.

Maybe it's just a problem with Technic then, not my actual computer.

In that case, I think I'll just go for the manual download, since the installer doesn't seem to be working for me either. If anyone has any suggestions, that would be great.

Probs getting the Heromodpack to work are usually discussed in the Releasing the Heromodpack thread. gabizou is the person to tag.

At the moment, Technic Launcher isn't very stable on the latest Java 7 for Mac OS X, if you have Java 7, either learn to set the java version to 6 or remove Java 7 entirely. As well, the manual download only will work if you're using the older Minecraft launcher, the new launcher will not launch the manual download. This could also be why the Installer didn't work if you're using the updated Minecraft launcher.

I have just recently updated my java, but I run on windows 8, think it could still be related?
