Technic launcher heromod pack crash

Title pretty much says it all. I'm trying to play via the technic launcher. I followed the instructions, but it keeps crashing. Says the game failed to load. I have tried running the other mods that came with the technic launcher and they worked so I can only assume something is up with this one in particular. Anyone know a fix?

it crashes when it gets to the .jar part of the install/download. it unzips it fine then the .jar crashes
