Can someone tell me what a spawn egg does and how you get one? Does it really possess the ability to spawn an infinite amount of mobs? That is - if someone has a "Creeper Spawn Egg", can they just conjure up 100 creepers?

Kainzo gives them out from time to time and they spawn a single of that mob.
