Bug Spawn Crating

I recently bought a Server EXP Boost, and i used the 3 Golden chest keys to unlock 3 Tier II chests, then i went to spawn to empty my inventory, (As informed by the chests before you open them) and after i emptied my inventory, I opened the first one and it said in the chat, "Nether has opened a chest and received, [X]!" It did not say X but it was a blob of green which I'm assuming was a condensed naming of an item, then when i open my inventory i see that all i got was an Emerald that certified i even had the chests in the first place.
