apparently paladins can use the parry function of a sword to fling their soulfire at enemies 5 spaces away. Parry can be spammed without hitting the target at all, causing soul fire to be used as a ranged attack from simply spamming the parry button. The rate at which you can spam parry causes soulfire to be on the target almost constantly. I was led to believe that soulfire was a chance on hit to ignite the enemy on fire, not a chance to fling fire across the room by blocking.
