Bug Skill Spam

Ok, so before kicking you from the server for skill spamming was not as strict. You could spam a skill like 100 times and it will still not kick you. But now it kicks me from the server for even spamming it only like 15-20 times. If this is intended, then I suggest we go back to before when it was less strict. This can be quite a problem for PvPers/PvErs since many do spam their skills, not knowing its still on cool down.

If you are talking about using a skill several times in a row, then I agree. It should be up to the player alone which skills will be used in combat, and if Fireball is your primary skill to use, so be it then. When talking about mobility, it is eventually required to use the same skill several times to actually keep up the fight and not end up evading attacks only, which could be a possible scenario as consequence.
People spam skills in MMORPGs even worse with no penalty, why would there be a rule regarding an excess of skill usage. I don't see it beneficial to balance a combat situation either, if that was the reason for it however, because it takes away a lot of freedom in a fight. At least that's the way I see it. (Never got kicked or similar for doing that here, but if it really happens, then it should be changed as you suggested).

this was fixed a long time ago, is it happening again?

They are talking about just spamming the command, not the skill itself

That does affect the player negatively? But that is nonsense...
If you spam the skill on a macro the skill will only be used once until it is off cool down but all of the msgs go through and it will kick you after so many in a certain time

Apparently so. As far as I have noticed, this only started to happen yesterday. It was not happening two days or ago or the days before those.

This is odd. Seeing that we have not updated /anything/ in terms of nocheat or spigot - can someone else confirm this?
Just tested this as a Paladin using Strike on a mob..Seems like this really only happens when you're targeting something.

This all happened in about 5 seconds. I was kicked to Limbo right after the last skill message.

Tip#1 - dont spam it 10 times a second, this puts weight on the server

I'll check with the nocheat config and spigot stuff to make sure its still allowing spam - but cant promise much atm.

We're not intentionally "spamming" it, it has been this way for a long time now. Lots of people do this. Pretty sure not a lot of people even notice or know they are spamming. They just dont pay attention to the chat or the cooldowns, so they just press their macro keys hoping that its already off cooldown. Or they spam their skills so that they could set it off as early as possible. Or they spam their skills to be able to actually target someone who is moving constantly. In all of the pvp videos, you can see people "spam" their skills.

It seems like saying "spamming" can be quite confusing. So I'm gonna rephrase it to "repeatedly pressing your keyboard keys so that you could use your skills as early as possible or to target your skills on someone. "
