I just got back from costa rica. We had some plane issues and had to stay a day later than expected. I was sick almost the whole trip thanks to a bug my nephews gave me before we left. But it was a great trip! I found out we own 3 waterfalls instead of just 1 and alot of other cool tidbits as we explored our land.

When I came back however, I found out that someone who was a member of my keep left a door open/griefed my keep. Whether the same group that griefed my keep and left doors open turned on all the traps to lag the server out, or a passerby snuck into my secret chambers to turn them on themselves, I don't know. All I do know is that I am very sorry for the problems my keep has caused. I am grateful to Brutal for destroying all the redstone at my keep to fix the problem, and I have removed the immature brats from the castle as they obviously are unable to handle the thing.

Please accept my apology for the issues my build has created.

Not sure if there was more, but she had 4 arrow barrages set up to clocks I think. Rapid firing tons and tons of arrows

Edit: her house has a ton of shit so I dunno what really caused the problem

uh...bad idea.... never set clocks to rotate arrow barrages or item spawning things infinitely or even more than a few times. jesus. spawning hundreds of doodad/objects in java is just a bad idea on server overhead.

great example, littlefighter 2, hit oneof the f keys that spawns items from the sky, hold it down, hah. instant crash/lag. its like a 2 megabyte game. same difference.

There's an easy, less laggy way to make a gattling gun. The manual way just includes hooking a barrage up to a lever and holding right click, though this means you can't move. If you MUST use a clock, never hook it direcly into the gattling gun. I'd suggest logical AND'ing it with another input, such as a button or pressure plate, that prevent it from just being left ON.

So you're saying to use the clock to power it only while the button or pressure plate is pressed. very clever, but doesn't prevent abuse from pressure plates having an item dropped on them and then it not updating right away.

It's not a perfect system with the pressure plate, but it prevents it from just being left on permanently, as the item would -eventually- de-spawn.

I'm not sure if the chunk and items update if the players nearby log within view distance, and the redstone could potentially bug out and stay on. Be cool if we knew for sure, but anyway, the safest method is a button mechanism to power it while it is depressed only. Like a toggle on for a few seconds then toggle off.

Yes, the button is the safest, though lever-only, no clock is the best, as it means least server lag. That's how I set up the midgard defenses back in the day.

That and the button loop is probably the only way I'd recommend setting up arrow barrage in that way. Any other way is too detrimental to server health :) in my opinion at least lols.
