Show off your wealth! Revised (with poll)

Hey guys, I had an idea for towns and pretty much anybody with a protected area to show off their wealth. This would need the support of the admins but I think it would be cool.

So basically, people could trade in their money for gold blocks; then the person could place their gold blocks somewhere to show off how much money they have. Then once they need to cash it, they could easily break a block and cash it for money.

I think this would make cool looking town vaults and bank vaults; if there was an area with all the gold blocks the town can afford.

This made me think of an Idea:
You get one gold block and you spend 100c making it a "Bank Block"
Bank blocks basically is that when you right click it, you see how much money who ever places it has. If someone tries to destroy it, it would be like destroying obsidian with iron.

Vault 101 done this last map, we had a town gold vault filled with gold blocks. However we also had a separate region to secure it.

While i do think that this isnt a good idea, i would like to point out that it is in some ways safer than a chest with dirt over it, in that it is illegal to steal valuable blocks from your own town. However, I don't think this should be done with gold (as this can be sold in order to pay taxes etc), and i don't think it should be something to 'Show off your wealth'; its just a safer method of storage.
