How most Scandinavians feel about the American healthcare system. xD​

In Scandinavia we pay for healthcare though our taxes, which means we all pay for each other, and nobody thinks twice about going to the doctor because we’ve already paid for it. We also have private care for those rich people who don't want to wait in line.​

​

But before you declare the American system “OMG!!! EVUL!!!”, remember that we Scandinavians also pay the highest taxes in the world. ​

Scandinavia is an area where people get much money, but houses, food, cloths, cars and generally everything else cost much more here. (the gouverment think it is extremely smart to tax items aswell as bank accounts).

And people still got more money than they need :S

I love living in Canada and being able to go to the doctor without thinking. Six years ago I went to a clinic with a really bad pain in my stomach. Turned out to be appendicitis and I had to have an emergency surgery!
If I would have had to pay for that initial clinic visit to just get 'checked out' I probably wouldn't have gone, and my appendix may have ruptured and I could have died.
Bottom line is that it is nice to not have to think about those sort of things.
