Bug Rubberbanding while mining coal.

I was mining coal that was underneath me and fell into water, then I fell into lava and then to bedrock level; all the time my screen was clear and a enderman torso with sounds was on my screen. I disconnected and when I reconnected I was in the same state and burned till I died.
