Reducing the vote site clutter.

Looking to completely remove all vote sites except 3.

Could use some help on searching around the net for the 3 highest traffic sites and keep them and only them.

This will:
1) allow us to give higher rewards for the sites remaining and
2) make it more attractive for players to vote on all the sites increasing total votes.

I'm basically looking for input on what 3 sites to keep on our list of http://hc.to/vote

Maybe not 3, I'd like to be able to vote from my phone and 3 doesn't work for that.

I think that we should keep the 3 sites with the most web traffic. If you keep an obscure server list site, it might not have as big as an impact as a site like Planet Minecraft.

The 3 sites I personally think would be alright based on just using google and determining the most popular, would be:

1. https://minecraft-server-list.com
   
2. http://minecraftservers.org
   
3. http://topg.org/Minecraft

I have voted nearly every day for over two years. Here's what I think:

#7 should be removed completely. You can't even input your name when voting.

#3 and #5 allow voting every 12 hours.
#6 allows voting every 21 hours; it is currently down for some reason (says: "vote failed. try again later") but otherwise has been fine.
#1, 2, and 4 have had nearly 100% up time over the past two years.

I vote for keeping #s 1-6 and dropping #7.

If it is a must to drop to 3, I vote for (as they are ordered right now):
#3 http://www.serverpact.com/voten.htm?server=17472
#5 http://topg.org/Minecraft/in-361640
and #6 http://www.minecraft-index.com/6027-herocraft-rpg-minecraft-server/vote (though as said above, #6 has been down for the past 24 hours...first time that I can recollect this happening for this specific site).

#3, #5, & #6 would allow players to provide the most votes possible based on vote times (12, 12, 21 hours), and will allow for monthly top vote competitions to not end in a tie all the time.

Voting has suddenly become quite wonky:
One site has not allowed us to input our name for about six months, and thus has not given rewards for voting. Site #7 7: http://www.planetminecraft.com/server/herocraft-75296/vote/
One site has been broken for about a week now with a "Vote Failed" error. Site #6: http://www.planetminecraft.com/server/herocraft-75296/vote/
Of the five remaining sites, only two of them are giving in-game xp and money rewards (unsure which atm).

I know that it is an important goal to spread the word of the HC server; one way to do that is through voting and getting HC higher up in the rankings. With all of these voting-site and reward issues, it is difficult to both execute and incentivize voting.

Hopefully the voting fixes will be prioritized within the to-do queue!

I think its kinda like last month when the voting stopped working; symptoms seem similar disregarding sites 6 and 7. Seems to be a monthly cycle?

EDIT: 3 Also appears to not be working, it says I voted successfully but underlining that it says that the voting process failed and to report the issue to an admin.

Not for site seven (planet minecraft). It hasn't allowed us to put our names in for months now. With regard to site six, I don't recall it ever being down this long during my tenure voting for HC.

@Yavool and myself (he has been top voter for as long as I have been a part of the herocraft community) have consistently been top voters for the past several months. I concur with everything he has said. No need to repeat what he has said.

@Kainzo it appears only 1 and 2 are currently paying players ingame with coins and exp. Not sure if this helps in the choosing.
