Question about Monster / NPC Diversity

I know that the mods are working on dungeons and custom mobs and i think both will be great when done. But in the mean time, I was wondering why the server doesnt try using some of the existing custom mob packs like twilight forest or More Monsters. Do mods like this cause server issues with large numbers of players, or is there some other issue? Seems like it would be an easy way to make leveling up classes more diverse and interesting.
