(Orignal Post)
So, I have decided that I am going to try and catch the wiki up. However, I could use all the help I can get on this goal. I'm not asking anyone to join me in sifting through pages of code, text, and deepest, darkest depths of the nether with me (though it would speed things up).
What I need from everyone, is any and all info that you know is wrong, find confusing, or missing from the wiki, and I will spend some of my free time finding it and editing it to the best of my abilities.
Why am I doing this? Well I need to be productive, and keep myself busy, and this would not only do that, but help the community as well. Plus, I just switched to Linux and need @Dielan9999 to save me from the nightmare that has ensued so my Minecraft is down.
So please guys, anything you've noticed, feel needs clarifying, or would like to see completed, let me know. I've already started researching the Engineering and Falsebook ICs and I will do my best to translate those back to english.

Perhaps say which ones are repeatable? Maybe some insight on what quest requires which items.

I've been busy with skyrim (just got dawnguard) so I haven't been playing as much to get info on quests. Also, when having quest information up, having too much information is a no no.

I might try to update the wiki for quests once for the forums stop distracting me from my homework and I get that done.

Alright, so far I have a request to do basic quest info. That should be easy, but I will need you guys to post the quests or even better message them to me so not to reveal to much and I will make an introduction to each one. By that I mean something along the lines of Coords to find the quest, A vague description, and maybe a loremaster could right something for it. But basically it will look like: Bob the Necromancer in Hamlet is looking for help gathering research materials. He can be found at +123, -123, 0

If they are long quest chains, I will probably add more, as well as known issues when completing the quests. I want to avoid saying, "Bob needs 10 bones, and Jim broke his ankle and has 200+ bones to spare, go find Jim at X,Z,Y and take them" Maybe something like," If your having trouble, Jim the baker has broken his ankle and is sitting by the lighthouse, maybe he can offer some advice if you help him."

Anyways, these are Pre-Tea ramblings.

Second, I have a labeled map of the Spawn Area (Thats Hamlet right?) I can try, The craptop has issues, but should be able to manage.

@Iarbobray I would love the help, but finish your homework before you get grounded in the moon!

Nope. I did my homework and got distracted by tf2. With information on quests, you are not supposed to give them too much information. That includes: Exact locations, walkthroughs, and materials needed. There's other stuff like that that you can't include. If you want you can gather information and send it to me for wiki/quest thread update.

EDIT: Edit the post and I realized that you said grounded in the moon @Sidgil
EDIT2: I need to sleep Q.Q

The new class skill descriptions need updated (runeblade especially).

Donor Perks: a short list of the most basic /res commands would be helpful or at least a direct link to a good residence FAQ. I can pm you a good site if needed.

Dragon Travel: is this implemented this map? I've not seen it yet but it's still listed as a T7 donor perk.

Mason: might consider updating the materials list that can be used to make bridges and doors. I can't get half that list to work.

I know nothing about wiki editing but I know quite a bit about data gathering and research methodology. As a newer HC player I know how much I'm relying on the wiki and I have seen first hand how much data is missing, incomplete or inaccurate. A comprehensive and accurate wiki is not only a powerful asset to players but also an outstanding PR vehicle for the server (a good wiki makes the server look good).

I'd love to help bring it up to date. If you need specific help researching something please MSG me and I'll do what I can.

Data Gathering is exactly what I need help with. I can't test and check every detail in the game (especially since I am having pc troubles) so any and all leads and test results would be wonderful. I still have to sit down and learn the Wiki format coding, which isn't hard, I've just been busy with my computer.

I've been working with @WitchOnaRampage on this recently. If you need any specific information, I can just pull it out of the configs ;) I haven't had time to personally update it, so I've been handing out info to whomever asks for it.

@Sidgil , sorry I didn't see this thread earlier! :)

I see you are talking about the Wiki as a whole being your personal quest, rather than updating the quests section in the Wiki ;), an honorable endeavour.

I've put in a huge amount of time since the start of Dragongarde updating many pages, and the biggest thing I've learned is why/how it's out of date in so many places. It's been a massive learning curve, and I have to say, humbling :(.

So that we're not tripping over each other, and can have the most satisfying time possible and have a sense of ownership and pride in our work, may I suggest I "chart" out for you what needs doing and where things are at?

For example,
  • the quests pages is currently being set up by @Iarbobray
  • Apparently the Falsebook mods aren't being used anymore - it's Craftbook (or similar, was mentioned in a post by @Kainzo ) - this would be excellent material to seek from @Alator
  • I'm currently working on the Donor Residences page/commands - and thanks for bringing it up @Favith because I'm looking for donors setting up residences to get me info ;)
  • I updated all the classes at the start of the map from the data files - but a number of these have changed (of course! :D) and I've been waiting to get hold of solid update info (ie the current data from the files) rather than waste time and effort trawling the ingame help - which is incomplete and not always perfectly correct .
  • Ah yes, and @leftovers5 has recently expressed interest in joining the Wiki team too. ( @Alator , maybe it really would be a good idea to add a Wiki team section to the Staff page, eh, so people know who's being active with it? )
Sorry about the huge wall of words.

Anyway, my message to everyone is this: Fantastic! It's wonderful you value the Wiki and what it contributes to the Herocraft community! I'm thinking to start a thread with the OP covering who's updating what and where the gaps currently are - what do you think?

Yep, I'm definitely going to continue updating the wiki. Considering I'm also on the Balance team, my focus will be on all of the pages about classes, Heroes, and whatnot. I'll still be going into other areas of the wiki to tinker in as well, don't you worry!

I'm willing to send updated info to whomever is willing to help. It's just too much for one person which is why it has been so out of date in the past. Witchy is currently drafting up a plan of attack!

Absolutely, but before you do, read this page.
http://herocraftonline.com/main/threads/wiki-updates-the-plan.24597/

@WitchOnaRampage has set up a great system to keep the editing organized, this way we can't step on anyones toes. If you don't see a name listed next to it, then no one is working on it. If you have an edit for a page someone is working on, it might be better for you and that person to chat a bit.
