Hello Herocraftians...
I believe I found a bug.

Me and my friend, who is a Pyromancer, were leveling together... He used DarkBolt, but all the mobs that are affected by the DarkBolt has been withering for only 1 damage per tick... Basing from the wiki:

"Withering deals (50 + 1.5 per intellect point) instant damage, disrupts their sense of wellbeing, and weakens all incoming healing by 25%."

If that's so, the wither effect should deal 50 + 1.5 per intellect point damage per tick, instead of one point per tick.

If I'm wrong, then I'm sorry for the inconvenience of posting a false 'bug'...

Thank you very much
-Kenster

P.S Or DarkBolt is only supposed to deal damage and reduce incoming healing?

The initial blast of Darkbolt deals the (50+1.5 per intellect point) that is listed in the tooltip, the damage over time effect of withering does indeed only do 1 damage a tic as intended.
I'm pretty sure this is working as intended, not 100% positive though

It isn't supposed to be a DoT, and the damage from the Wither is irrelevant. (Though I guess it could have been mentioned in the tooltip.) The Wither "DoT effect" Is part of the disrupting wellbeing concept. It exists to hinder your movement and distort your perceptions of what is happening around you. The real damage portion of the skill was meant to be dealt upfront, and dealt instantly.

We don't have a good system for controlling actual Wither damage, and therefore we cannot change the numbers that Withering deals to the player. (I think we could if we really tried, but nobody has yet.) The only true way to modify the damage is to increase the tickrate, which we had a good look at during the Bastion map. It was not pleasant, and it was not balanced.

It is in everyone's best interest that the skill perform how it does right now.

Oh okay, cause I remembered in early Haven when Darkbolt used to get me a heart down from the DoT (I was 65 Paladin then) and I thought that this 1HP DoT wasn't right. But thanks for clearing this up anyways...

An additional note to this, Darkbolt only appears to work on mobs if you focus and hit the ground near them. If you hit a mob itself nothing happens.
