Bug PvP to Central, Lost Item.

So a guy wanted to buy a symbol, so i grabbed it and put it in the 9th slot of my hotbar (i had 10 redstone in the first slot of my inventory, a blaze rod and food in slot 1-2)

I went from pvp to central and then the item disappeared, and i kept my other stuff, i went back to pvp and the it was back for a split second, but then went away.

Really sucks that we have so many bugs.
