@Kainzo Please review or assign a mod to this.

Hi, I am writing here to request punishment for user: TheAncientTeam for several reasons which I will get to in a bit.

First I will explain the story. TheAncientTeam had killed me long ago which we had both moved past and gotten over; I was under the impression we were friends now. However today around 4:30-5:00 EST the killed me when I was AFK; which I understand is perfectly legal. I was more upset this time, but he said he would give me my stuff back under the condition I tell him what city I was a part of. (I took this as a trade, and went back to the 'meeting spot') When we got their, I locked myself in my house by placing dirt behind the door and told him to put my stuff in a chest. He then some how spawned 2 wolves in my house (I have been told this is part of the Beadmaster path) broke the dirt (which by the time I am writing this: 6:00pm EST he DID NOT replace) and hit me, making his dogs kill me.

He claimed everything he did is legal; however, I beg to differ.

In the rules set out on the Herocraft Wiki; it states;

Griefing may be defined as:
  • Pvp, theft, or block destruction inside Zeal, or a town hall.
      • Attacking players in a no-pvp zone from a pvp zone is exploiting.
  • Destroying blocks in another player's house/structure.
    • This rule does not apply to diamond, gold, iron, or lapis lazuli blocks.
    • This rule does not apply to plants.
    • A portion of a structure may be destroyed in pursuit of another player, or to gain access to said structure, ONLY if the attacking player is able to restore the blocks destroyed to original form, immediately.
  • Placing blocks in or around a structure which you do not own.
  • Leaving abusive messages in any form.
  • Teleporting group members to your person and engaging in hostile actions against said group members.
  • Spawn camping, or bed camping, falls under griefing, exploiting, and harassment. (Player will be escalated immediately to a 3rd warning.)

For my case, I believe 2 lines need to be reviewed: line 2 and line 2.3

He is in violation of line 2 by breaking blocks of my house. However, someone may say that line 2.3 over rules this. However, the blocks were not replaced and the term 'pursuit' does not apply to this situation. I was waiting at my house and we were going to meet up for a trade; I was never under the impression that he was 'chasing me' or was in danger.

Also, I think the fact that he spawned two wolves in my house should be reviewed also. I understand that the beadmaster's level 10 skill is to tame a wolf. But I consider it:
Intentionally abusing glitches or game mechanics.
as set out in the main server rules on the wiki.

So to sum it all up, I am acusing TheAncientTeam for the following;
  • Abusing game mechanics
  • Griefing
Thanks for your time,

I think the strongest support your case has, is exploiting.

What he must have done was backed away from your house, then sprinted towards it, causing the wolves to warp to him because they were too far away, and they warped into the house. As a Beastmaster I know this is impossible to overcome, everybody sprints. However what I do know is that it is very easy to do on purpose. All you do is run, they will always warp in front of you. However, assuming this all happened in the wild, he could easily have used the wolf skill by breaking the dirt block, and point his crosshairs on your floor when he used the skill(that's where they will spawn). However it has a hefty cooldown, and you only get 1 wolf that way. So it is more likely that he exploited.

I don't see how lines 2 and 2.3 need adjusting, I'm not even sure where they are. They are not numbered. Could you perhaps quote just those lines? I fancy myself an expert rule-reader, I have that shit bookmarked ;) Useful considering I'm a Guide.

As for my own review of the rules, it is not considered harassment or griefing to get killed in your home. You didn't mention if he did it over and over, and you didn't mention if it was inside a townhall, where PVP would have been impossible anyway. Also it is only punishable for griefing your house if he left it that way. He could break any block he wanted to get to you, then just replace it when you were dead. As long as it is a "timely manner". For example if someone breaks the wall of a developing town, and raids it for a few hours before ever dying or leaving, he had better fix that wall while he's there. That's when you fix it right away. However in a high tension conflict like you described, it's ok to replace it after the conflict. If you had killed him, and he never came back, you could get him on that.

Please consider:

2) Harassment on Herocraft Online is best defined as persistent abuse towards another player.
Examples:
a) A player camping outside a town to kill a player is NOT harassment.
b) A player verbally abusing another player, for any reason, is harassment.
c) A player being killed multiple times is NOT harassment. Said player is welcome to leave the area or return to a no-pvp area if they are subject to unwanted pvp.

It is also said in the rules that bed camping ISN'T allowed. So please try to clarify exactly what went down. As it stands now, he probably did nothing illegal. However my judgement could be flawed, and all mod+'s word is worth more than mine is.

Sorry for the confusion about the line numbers. By line 2 I meant
Destroying blocks in another player's house/structure.
And by line 2.3 I meant
A portion of a structure may be destroyed in pursuit of another player, or to gain access to said structure, ONLY if the attacking player is able to restore the blocks destroyed to original form, immediately.

Also, as I mentioned in the report, he did replace the block to hit me causing his dogs to attack. However, he DID NOT replace the blocks after breaking in my house to loot my body.

I am not reporting him for harassment either, he was not camping at my house. Also, this was the third time he has killed me in the same place.

@Dielan9999 I hope this answers your questions.

I think that I will write him up for not replacing the one dirt block. It would help for you to create a PE from the location being discussed.

I think the charge on abusing game mechanics is pretty thin. I have wolves follow me through doors/walls all the time, so the issue of having his wolves take you out is part of the Beastmaster Class.

Again.

Filing a PE will generally solve problems, such as this, far more quickly. Please trust our staff to do their job and investigate a PE.

Thanks.

That's griefing. Also that's probably the only thing you can reasonably report against him.

Also, what punisher said, hit the nail on the head.
