Let's make this short and sweet. I like short one sentence lines, makes the point clearer imho.
Stone sword gives 3 experience to all base paths (Rogue, crafter, etc)
Stone pick gives 1.5 experience to all base paths (Rogue, crafter, etc)
Iron sword gives 7.5 experience to all base paths ( Rogue, crafter, etc)
Iron pick gives 9 experience to all base paths (Rogue, crafter,etc)
Do you see anything wrong? Look at this if you do not;
Stone Sword > Stone Pick
Iron Sword < Iron Pick
How does that make sense?
There are four solutions I see;
Nerf swords so that they gives less experience for stone.
Nerf picks so that they give less experience for iron
Buff picks so they give more experience for stone
Buff swords so they give more experience for Iron
