How long have you been on Herocraft?:
I've been on Herocraft for 5 months now and play on average 20 - 30 hours a week and have the forum always open in a tab in the background.
Why do you think you would make a good proctor?:
I am a very reasonable person and don't make decisions hecticly, but I take the time to look at everything closely and don't mind doing something in my spare time to contribute heavily in a great community (i.e. doing research regarding previos bans of applicants). I am active on the Minecraft forums and could certainly help to reduce the flood of applications on the Herocraft thread on the MC-Forum. I already have a large knowledge of forums and forum-management because I've been a Moderator and Beta Tester of a rapidly growing game and community (namely Uberstrike: http://www.forum.uberstrike.com -> king_john) for more than 2 years now and got accustomed to helping people's questions, to cut down on actual playing time to solve problems/fulfill my duties as moderator. So I've learned to be responsible towards the community and the admins, to take orders from higher instances, to report to the moderators and admins, to bring questionable and suspicious threads to their attention and to take responsibility of my actions.
I'm spending a good deal of my time on the Herocraft forum and even though I do not post a lot on the gossip topics, I usually know what's going on in the forum at the time and I know what kind of maturity is needed in order to be able to join the forum & HC and to not to decrease the niveau of the nowadays rather mature community.
Whenever I'm online I try to answer all questions in /ch h and enjoy helping new players getting setteled in and try to make them have a good start with all the plugins and the players. I've just started my own town together with Troppicz as my SiC and by being Mayor of a town, I'm not only responsible for my own behaviour, but also for the image of the town and of my members and thus will never behave in a way that I have to be ashamed of, no matter the circumstances.
Furthermore I live in Switzerland, what allows me to be online at times when american Players/Proctors are still asleep or at school and asian Players/Proctors already went to bed.
I already have quite a bit experience with IRC which I'll happily improve if necessary and I'm almost always online throughout the day.
Additional info you would like to tell us?:
I'm 17 years old and moved to Switzerland at the age of 12. I I fluently speak german and thus could easily take care of the problems of german speaking newcomers to help them settle in in no time and improve their playing experience. I love to work with the Adobe Suite and I use Photoshop, which I've taught me autodidactically, a lot. I'm attending a Gymnasium (=College) at the moment and am in the 12th grade. In my spare time I like to do Quinda in which tournaments I also praticipate.
I apply, because I want to become a heavily involved part of this community and contribute as much as possible. Even though I have a low post count I do know pretty much the entire wiki off the top of my head. I used to play minecraft on a server of a friend with some of the herocraft members (321ngo and heylookitskyle), where I was an op. So I know my way round.
And oh wow... The application is longer than I expected it to be...
