Currently Testing Poison Potions

Splash Poison - 1:30 : Thrown into the air above me. lands on head. no effect.

non-splash Poison Potion : Drank this. spend the next min or so convulsing. took off bout 220 hp

Splash Poison - no effect

Splash Poison II - no effect

Poison II - drank this. poisoned for bout 20secs did around 125 damage

Overall Poison pots works. cept the splash potions.. but who will really drink a poison pot.

Intended by vanilla Minecraft. Poison II is for quick fights, the point to quickly deal out damage, while extended poison I's do small amounts of consistent damage, over an extended battle.

It's like drinking an instant health pot is effective for that moment, but if a user used a regen pot at the beginning of a fight, the regen is more health efficient over the course of the battle. (Vanilla Minecraft)

Digger, he never said extended. Potions need redstone added in to get to the "extended" part. He just said it was poison I, which is just netherwart and fermented spider eye, not extended.

Also, it's nothing like your example with HP and Regen potions. Maybe if we were talking about potions of harming and poison would that have any relevance.

my mistake. The extended poison did bout 220+ over 90sec duration. the poison II 125+ over 20 secs. the poison II does more damage.
