Rain poured down in sheets, forcing flowers to bend to its weight and creating puddles of mud where grass had been before. The air had a chill to it, the kind of penetrating cold that forced all but the most hearty to seek shelter and warmth. The Inn of the Trade District was tightly packed, patrons huddled around their tables, wringing out clothes and working warmth back into frozen fingers. Even the innkeeper had moved from his post behind the bar to a chair near the fire, cursing the sky and the weather it had brought.

A flash in the sky, a crack of thunder, and a thump not heard or ignored by most. Nearest to the door, a woman looked out the window with a puzzled expression, peering into the inky darkness that the light from within the inn seemed unable to penetrate. Squinting she pressed her face up to the glass as she heard another soft thump, unable to discern what or who was the source of the noise. Focusing hard, ignoring her companions seated around her table, the steady sound of the rain drowning out the hum of the voices around her.

With a screech she jumped back, nearly knocking her bowl of soul from the table as a hand appeared out of the darkness to strike heavily upon the door. The room went silent at her scream, all eyes now focused on the door. A group of armed men in a corner stood, some drawing weapons as they warily eyed the front of the inn.

With a crash the wooden door slammed open, and a man in a purple hooded cloak fell through, barely catching himself on a knee.

So yeah, a day turned into a week. A week turned into a month, and now it’s freaking May. I wrote a thesis, I graduated with a Master’s in Engineering, I got a job, I moved. I apologize strongly for up and going, but I honestly wasn’t expecting to be gone for so long, and things got so crazy Herocraft got pushed to the back of my mind. Also @Kainzo, sorry about ignoring the wiki, but when life dropped its hammer on me I kinda stopped thinking about games for a while.

Good to see you all again. I likely won’t be returning 100% right away, but I’ll start coordinating with @strongholdx to catch up on all the stuff I’ve missed.
