Bug Nothing grows on my Royal Plot

i planted trees a while ago to use for wood and I even planted them before I started to build so they've had plenty of time to grow. The grass as well doesn't grown back even when i place torches down

Never saw grass or flowers growing by itself tbh (You do mean grass not grass blocks, right?)
But tree saplings are supposed to grow by itself, depending on the tree if there is enough space and light, logically.

If the grass isn't even spreading, that means growth is turned off.

Make sure you have a light source present.
